A while back the battery in my laptop broke and I had to replace it with a new one. I was instructed by the man in the shop that I had to get a battery from the same brand as my laptop as if I didn’t it could cause problem with my charger, would be dangerous or potentially just not last as long as my original. Although, let’s face it, after 6 months of owning my laptop, I don’t think it perform any worse than my original battery, but that’s a whole new post.
Anyway, long story short. I ended up splashing out around £80 on a new battery because I needed it instantly and couldn’t wait and now I am about to go on holiday and the same thing has happened to my digital camera now. I desperately need a new battery but have seen that Camera Batteries are equally as expensive. Basically, I don’t want to have to fork out a shed load again and I can’t help but think that I might have been ripped off by the computer people before. Is it really essential to buy the same brand as my camera, or will a universal one suffice?
