With my job I have to start learning about different servers and security measures. This week it was the turn of dedicating hosting services. Not sure what that is? I didn’t either beforehand – let me explain!
A dedicated hosting service or sometimes known as a dedicated hosting is an internet hosting which a server is provided to a company or an organisation.
The company has full control over the server and what kind of hardware and operating system is used.
Using a dedicated hosting assists the security measures with the server, including ways to scan for viruses.
One limitation with it though is some do not allow instant messaging over the internet.
Now wasn’t that thrilling!!!
